Information
Metroid: A Familiar Path is a quest I've been working on. It's a metroid quest that uses PolygonX8's MTPP tileset. None of the story components are implemented yet, but they will be in for the final product. The main reason I made this post is so people could play the demo of the game. Any feedback you can give would be amazing.

I admit when I first saw this project pop up, I was kinda iffy about it since people have done <insert other game here> ZC quests before that have turned out a little weird for my tastes. They can definitely be done well and they have been, but that was just my impression of most of them in the back of my mind.
But this is actually neat looking and I'm digging the map design and unique spins on stuff that I've seen from the videos and screenshots, so I'm probably going to check out the demo sometime.

Hey, AlphaFrost!
I tried out your quest. I'm a big fan of Super Metroid, so I love playing quests related to it. Lookin' pretty sweet, so far!
Thanks for making the X-ray beam available (but not obvious) so early on. It really helps with figuring things out!
I got stuck, however. After getting the morph ball, I didn't see anywhere else I could go so I went back to Brinstar. I found the boss area, but I haven't been able to beat him.
It seems impossible. At first it's reasonable, but what seems impossible is when the blue fires appear everywhere except for one small area. The fires appear way too fast for me to maneuver to that small area, and I can only jump so far. I've tried it a bunch of times, but I always get killed at that one part. My advice would be to make that part of the boss the same as (or more similar to) the other blue fires, where there's still plenty of spaces that are safe to stand on.
Oh, and BTW, when the boss is firing 4 fireballs at once, there's a few combos on the left of the screen that appear walkable but are not. They are to the left of the rock a little below the center of the left side of the screen.
