A World Awaits
Description:
"A World Awaits" is a good song for waking up and embarking on an adventure. It's rather like a reflective reveille, for lack of a better alliterative term.
The piece is written in A minor, but the very first chord falls outside the key signature. This lays the framework for a progression I found sweeping enough to build a song with. I definitely ran into some orchestration challenges, but I did my best to defeat them. Feel free to interpret and utilize this track however you want. Feedback is always appreciated.

This is a nice song! The tone and the instrument usage feel just right. I can definitely imagine this as an overworld for some kind of RPG, and of course it could have a myriad of uses in Zelda Classic as well. I have to agree with Avataro that the use of the Koto is really nice.
The only reason this doesn't earn a full score from me is that I found the melody to be a little repetitive and not very compelling. The entrance of the Koto is where I feel the song really improves and maintains a nice feel throughout, but the intro with the trumpets doesn't quite do it for me.
Really great effort! It was a pleasure to listen to.

I love it, this is really 5-star material! I think the orchestration is nicely done. The song really fits your description "waking up and embarking on an adventure". I also like that one instrument that makes this sound a bit japanese (if I'm not mistaken, it's a traditional japanese instrument). Anyways, nice job and thank you for making this
