Description
When I started building Forgotten Memories, I used the Pure Tileset. However, I wanted to make a lot of edits to it. I created new mountain tiles, then soon after, diagonal mountain tiles to go with them. Because these tiles were too complicated for me to use, I opted to completely overhaul the mountains and go for something completely new rather than something that looked like the Game Boy mountains. I now have something new, and I'm releasing those first mountain tiles I created.

Oh boy, now let me explain how to use these. As I said before, they're complicated to set up and use. In the first shot (in the tile editor) you'll see a grid of tiles on the top left corner. Every tile in column A (including only the 6x10 grid) is the mountain going horizontally across the screen, as you would normally see in mountain tiles. Column B is your average 90 degree turn you see in most mountain tiles. Columns C and D contains tiles curving into the 45 degree angle (although it is not at a 45 degree angle yet). They're a transition from horizontal to 45 degree angle. Columns E, F, and G are mountains tilted at a 45 degree angle. Columns H and I are the 45 degree mountains turning into the vertical (up and down the screen) part of the mountain. They are the transition between the 45 degree angle and the vertical. Finally, column J is the 45 degree mountain curving back to horizontal mountains; it is another transition.

Now rows. Rows 1 and 2 deal with the bottom pieces of the mountain. Rows 3 and 4 deal with the middle of the mountain. Rows 5 and 6 deal with the top barrier part of the mountain.

Below the grid, you should see some more tiles. These tiles should (hopefully) be self-explanatory. They are the borders on the far end of the mountain (for lack of a better explanation).

The second shot is the tiles in use. Although I obviously worked very little on this screen (it was basically a test screen to see if the mountains would work), they do show the mountains in use so you can get a basic idea aif you want them or not before committing yourself to taking these tiles and setting them up. And it may be easier to rip from for some people. I don't know.

Whew. I know plenty of people won't understand that, so just try your best to figure it out. I tried my best to explain it and set up the picture to include all the tiles. And I know I'll probably get docked points for the difficulty of using them (good luck setting up the combos). But I figure it's better to submit them than to just delete them. Somebody might be able to use them, or better yet, improve on them and make them easier to use. Oh yeah, these are for use with the Pure Tileset, although they could be easily recolored into most other tilesets.

And thanks to everyone who inspired me to start working on my own graphics. Without the people who support me, I wouldn't have the confidence to create my own graphics.
