This update is not a terribly big one. It would have been larger - but there were a couple submissions that seemed like jokes, and not serious submissions. Please read Nathaniel's message two updates ago - if you cannot guarantee that your submission will be accepted, then do not send it in until you can. It's a waste of our time to check your files to make sure they are not in violation of the rules, or to check that they merit submission - not to mention that it's very frustrating to download a 2MB quest file supposedly containing a tileset to find four new tiles added to the NES set.Anyway, the new stuff is as follows:
Tiles:
- Chrono Trigger Scenes by VanHalenMan
- LoZ: New NPC Tiles by Old-Skool
- Ocarina of Time Medallions by Master_of_Power
- Slingshot + Bag by Spiro
- Update: 'King' Zora by shonox
Music:
- LoS Battle Theme by Sir_Johnamus
Quests:
- Link's New Adventure by tlseward

Attention All Submitters

Lately more than usual I have noticed two (and sometimes three) identical submissions in a row appear among new submissions, mostly from people who are either new to PureZC or don't frequent the site much. I am not exactly sure why this is happening, but perhaps there is a misunderstanding on how the submission process works here. I shall explain this so as to clear up any possible confusions:- When you have completed submitting your content, it immediately goes into a temporary location that only the Site Staff have access to. That would be people like me or anybody else that you see reporting these updates.
- Your submitted content does not automatically appear in our database right away. One of us among the Site Staff actually has to download your files from the temporary location (explained above) and then upload them into the database manually. Why does it work this way? We check all submitted content to see if they properly follow all of our content rules, submission rules, and sorting guidelines. These can of course be found on the first page that appears when you choose to submit content. If any of these rules are broken, your submission will be rejected and it therefore won't make it into the database. We will notify you by PM if this happens to be the case. For those who don't have forum experience, a PM is a "personal message" - a common message board feature. It works similarly to email, only it is within the message board itself (go to "Discussion Forums" and then to the box that says "0 New Messages" (or however many you have). I suggest that you try to get familiar with the forums if you haven't already. If you need help, you can use the forums to get your questions answered.
- If for any reason you feel as if your submission was not received by us, please ask us by sending one of us a PM. Please send the PM to a Site Staffer who has done updates not that long ago (such as myself for example). Sending the same content again and giving us duplicate submissions as a result only gives us the extra work of having to delete one set of your files among the list of other files of recently submitted work.
- The most golden rule of all: If you are confused about anything regarding submitting content, please send one of us a PM or start a topic posting your question in the "Assistance and Propositions" forum within the "Discussion Forums". The link to the Discussion Forums should easily be found on the left margin of this page that you are on now. If in doubt, do not submit until you can guarantee that your content will be accepted.
I hope this clears up any confusion. If not, take advantage of the existence of our discussion forums.
