It's very good, I like it a lot. I could see it being used in a title screen, overworld, or dungeon. It's quite versatile. The only knock against it I think really is as you said, it's a bit generic.
Very nice work.
Planned Obsolescence
Description:
"Planned Obsolescence" is an NSF tracker that sounds like a hybrid of "Anticipate This!" and "---." The song's a bit generic, but I like its overall energy. It provided a good platform for me to experiment with pitch changes, too: you might notice the melody has a slight vibrato effect, and there are two obvious pitch sweeps in the piece's 76-second loop.
Love the song? Hate it? Let me know in a review.
Credits:
Naoki Kodaka, Nobuyuki Hara, Shinichi Seya or Naohisa Morota--A number of songs on the (stellar) Journey to Silius soundtrack ended with high notes and glissandi, inspiring my choice to finish "Planned Obsolescence" with a high note and a glissando myself.
