I can't tell if it's supposed to be peaceful or suspenseful. It's lacking counterpoint, substance, melody, and all of that stuff.

Then the cello melody comes in, which is very nice, but you need to flesh this stuff out or else you don't have anything worthwhile.

It's really empty and could have used some fading in and out effects for the instruments at the beginning to smoothen it out. Nonetheless, I like its sort of starry-sky, contemplative nature.

This was sort of good. Relaxintales advice would make it better.

Hmm, I hate to be the bayer of bad news but you need some more instruments, a percussion track, and some instruments that echo. this song didn't appeal to me, but hey...If its your first midi, I can't blame ya...My first few midis sucked!

Four, because it sounds like some of my first MIDIs.

Rated a two:

1) One star for effort: This is much simpler than even most of Siguy's submissions by far. In its current state, this MIDI would be considered by many as completely unusable without something else added to it. This is your first MIDI submission though, so just see what people say here and try to keep it in mind the next time you try to make something.

2) The other star is for this: Something about 'A Simple Life' caught my attention, despite the über-simplicity. It didn't just get my attention, though. It made me feel like it was supposed to be the 'sad' song here.
