I have to agree with Nathaniel and ShadowTiger. In brutal honesty, these graphics aren't anything unusable as they currently stand. However, that's not to say that with some practice and effort, they couldn't be turned into something very nice. More often than not, a spriter will start out slow, but with a lot of work, you can become an expert like several of our members.
Don't let harsh comments get you discouraged. Although some members aren't good at communicating, nine times out of ten, they're just trying to help you out. I advise checking out the Custom Tile Showcase thread in the forums and asking for feedback on how you can improve. Many of the members can be very insightful and helpful.

Poor, but not horrible, in my opinion. I noticed you've never posted on our discussion forums before. If you need any help or tips on improving anything related to ZC, take advantage of all this site has to offer, as we are also a resource site for knowledge. Lots of expertise among our membership. Don't be shy.

The stars are irrelevant at this stage. My "ratings" are based on usefulness within the community.
Thank you for the submissions and the effort, certainly, (Seriously, never discount effort and intent) - As it is, you're at the stage in which you're experimenting with how things are to be drawn.
There's no shame in using other peoples' work as a template to jump-start your own artistic abilities. I did that initially. I'm no artist, but eventually you kind of learn what works and what doesn't. Keep at it, but judge yourself critically before submitting anything to the database. It tends to be final in nature, and overly harsh if it doesn't yield practical results for the community you submit them to.

A black outline can't make graphics look bad. A bad artist can.
These are bad graphics, and it has nothing to do with having an outline or not. They're just poorly designed. Heck, it's hard to see what they're even supposed to be. Not a good sign.
