Negative Unlock is great... It completely covers the not-quite-so-awesomeness that is Pale Woods.
This actually makes surprisingly good boss music!
Pale Woods & Negative Unlock
Description:
These are a couple of songs based on a story that I just recently started work on.
Pale Woods uses 33 to -1 for looping. It's extremely repetetive, so try not to overuse it.
Negative Unlock should be fine as it is.
Credits:
None.

Pale Woods made me feel really uncomfortable. It's the sort of song that would drive me crazy if I had to listen to it looped.
I loved the use of recurring themes in Negative Unlock. The orchestra hits were very well used and complimented the perpetual energy infused in the piece.

Negative Unlock seems to have rather repetitive chords, even though the song itself does have plenty of variance.
Pale Woods: yes, very much a MIDI for use in areas where the player is not likely to linger. Usually that applies to transition points between two areas, i.e. a "overworld shortcut network." However, Those types of areas aren't usually in forests...
I suppose it'd be great if put to the right use.
Oh, also, the style of Pale Woods sorta reminds me of the music from the original Lunar: The Silver Star on the Sega CD. I kinda doubt many people know what I'm talking about, though.

Negative Unlock: 4.75 stars! A really nice piece of work. How do you manage to incorporate Orchestra hits in so many songs? I would reckon that you put in a few meaures where a one or two soft instruments play. The sudden drop off of bass, timpanis, and orchestra hits may make a nice transition.
Pale Woods: Only 36 seconds of 5 star material?!...Well, it did sound nice and I reckon you may lengthen it in time. I would love to do that for you. So let me know if I can. I like to remix midis too.
