Information
A tileset based on the one I was using in an old quest project that was lost due to a corrupted file. I started with the default Classic set and expanded on it, giving most things outlines and more colors as well as redrawing a lot of things (especially items, enemies, and Link) that I felt didn't look that great in the original tileset.

Well, you've received unanimous acclaim so far, so I suppose it's about time for some more constructive feedback...
But first off, I'm going to say that this is an incredible tileset for the sheer volume of custom work put into it. I have not gotten the opportunity to use it myself, but judging from the tile pages a lot of love went into this over those two years. Absolutely no tile was left untouched, and there's a nice BS-like charm to everything. But on the other hand, the artistic growth of those two years really shows, and some of the tiles are a bit rough.
Firstly, the cliff tiles need far more work. They're flatly shaded and the contrast on them is way too low, showing a weakness in this palette's browns. I highly suggest you create some cliff tiles from scratch. Your shading also needs more work elsewhere. The details of sprites such as the dodongo blend together, and your trees have an awkward mixture of dithering and blocky shading. Some palettes such as Cset7's blue are way too saturated and contrasting, while others like Cset 5 boast a poor selection of uncontrasted colors. And to top it all off, the Link just does not work at all. The mixture of bright neon-green and dark pure-black ruins him for me, as well as the somewhat rushed shading and his flatly-colored brown clothing.
As a leaving remark, I'd just like to say that your existing designs are excellent (aside from bosses you ended up recoloring) so really, all you need to do is correct some tile's shading and add more contrast to your palettes. New boss designs would also help, and for drawing those I highly suggest ASEprite's layered animation. Once you use ASEprite, you never go back.
Also, to learn the best way to approach such small sprites, it's always a good idea to pay a visit to PixelJoint to see how the pros do it: http://www.pixeljoin...elart/56964.htm
Best of luck to you, and may you have a great future of spriting.
