Good quest, although I agree with Raiden concerning some of the bugs. The only other gripe I have is with the uneven difficulty. I plowed through the main quest with no problem at all. The hammer makes the darknuts WAY too easy. Only the wizzrobes provided any challenge at all. Then I did the bonus dungeon and found it incredibly difficult. After completing the bonus dungeon, however, Level 9 was also a breeze.
I don't mind a hard quest, I just didn't care for the imbalance of 9 easy dungeons and one nearly impossible one. Overall though, it's one of the best first quest remakes out there. I'm looking forward to playing the 2nd.

A pretty standard 1st Quest remake in many ways, but graphically it's very appealing. It uses a mixture of graphics from different sources, which either look good together, or have been edited to look good together, with a few small exceptions.
I am enjoying it so far (level 5), though I don't really like how it's no longer possible to do any of the dungeons out of order. Occasionally things don't seem to make sense. And finally, there are some nagging non-fatal bugs that show that this really needs another bugfix release. Wrong under combos, a misplaced enemy or two, an inaccessible staircase, and everytime you use a passageway in a dungeon the music stops...
To alleviate the Hookshot/Boomerang bug, play this in version 2.10. The bug is with ZC rather than this quest in particular.
I think this quest deserves 4 stars, but it's gotten too much flak about a bug that is ZC's fault and easily alleviated by using version 2.10. Thus I will rate it 5 stars as a compensation.

Very nicely done quest. I liked the extra things that you threw in there like the Purple Tunic and the Master Sword. The only problem I had was when I walked into a stairwell in a dungeon and the music stopped playing altogether when I came out. Other than that the game flowed pretty well.
