Now for the harder way!!!
Place the semi-ground tile under where you intend to put the mouth of the deku. Then you just layer over it and put a full black combo under the top half of the mouth.
If you're confused, just look at screenies 2, 3 and 4. They show what it looks like with layers removed.
Maybe I'll recolor this for the DoR tileset...
