Pretty simple and quick to get through, done it all in about 2 1/2 hours. Nothing too crazy but for what it is I enjoyed it. Overworld is pretty cool with the way it's all just different colours even though the formula is essentially the same. The dungeons start out very simple and then get more complicated as more gimmicks get introduced and they were done quite well. I do wish maybe the Overworld was more than essentially a straight line by having worlds connect up with each other but I suppose this was an intentional choice since there really is no reason to go back when you have all the Heart Pieces, but otherwise it was a tad underwhelming.
But yeah, very simple and fun. 4/5 from me.

This was pretty nice! I had fun with it for the most part, though in a lot of areas the scaling was strange and sometimes just way too unforgiving. I also was never able to find the very last heart piece to get the blue ring. Maybe that's one me.. Overall though I was pretty hooked on it, I played it about 6 hours straight with 90 whole deaths. I think I had most frustrations on Level 7, but the boss on Level 5 was by far the worst. Mainly due to how the screen reset every time you fell in a hole, it made it incredibly frustrating. I think overall Level 8 was probably my favorite. Level 9 was really nice too, but the color palette threw me off a bit.. But I got used to it. I'm sure I missed some secrets and stuff considering I never found that last heart piece, or if maybe there was a shield somewhere. So to sum everything up. Overall level design was really really good, a lot of the gimmicks were really neat. The enemy choice and scaling was a bit strange at times, but I did sort of like having set enemies per region and dungeon for the most part. Though I think there was many times where there was just a massive contrast between some enemies in dungeons. Overall I give it a 4/5. Sorry if my review seems all over the place I was just kind of rambling.
EDIT: About the final heart container, I opened the quest in ZQuest and I counted every overworld heart container and there were only a total of 35. There were also none in any dungeons, so that would max your health at 19 hearts for the whole game. Maybe this was intentional and the blue ring was a jape, but worth noting I think.

A pleasant little adventure!
One can find the overworld linear but I found it very pleasant, insofar as it is simple, accessible, that I quickly felt satisfaction because one quickly identifies how it is built!
The feeling of progression is strong. The lack of secrets is not a bad thing for players like me, because I'm not a acheiver, I'm not the kind of person who wants to get all the secrets and quarter hearts, but for this game, I had this desire to get them all. This game relaxed me!
The difficulty is progressive, the first dungeon is very simple, the last one is rather complicated without being horrible. Honorable mention for the purple dungeon (the 6th) where I felt immersed. There is an attempt at a universe (a bit retrowave, I didn't expect it) where for the rest, it remains classic.
This game is cute, classic, simple, it will suit zelda quest regulars who don't want to take the head but still want some challenge. There are some nice level design surprises to be seen!

This is a pretty no frills quest. One overworld segment littered with heart pieces and a dungeon leads to the next, which leads to the next. No real exploring via bombs or candle or looking for shops. In fact I never found a big shield, and although I thought I was pretty thorough I was one heart piece short of being able to get the Blue Ring near the end. The dungeons were pretty fun and I encountered no errors even though there are some complicated layouts. I once heard that if you ever find yourself walking through a maze, a mostly surefire way to escape is to put one hand on a wall as you walk and you'll eventually get out. Making my way through Bob's dungeons felt like that. Lots of backtracking with eventual escape. Being able to shoot from doorways and stun wizzrobes with the boomerang allowed me to finish the quest rather quickly, even without a ring or big shield. Three stars.

I forgot to mention in that review.. There is still a slight softlock in Level 9, I don't think it was random, but I cannot remember what triggered it. But basically if you died, it would respawn you in the wrong room, and if you didn't have the bow yet you would have to F6
