Super fun! An extremely well done quest. It has all the quality of life upgrades the original Z1 doesn't have. It feels modern and is reallly smooth.
I liked the moderate difficulty and the zippy gameplay. It gave the quest great pacing and momentum. It kept the party rolling without too many "stuck" spots.
I also liked all the weapons, items and upgrades. I'm usually annoyed by the 'find the sword' schtik, but the magic cane proved to be an awesome new addition that got more fun as it progressed.
Thanks so much for the quest!

Information
A Zelda1 style with more modern conveniences! New overworld! New Dungeons! A callback to the NES era more in the ways of nostalgia tinted glasses than what it actually was!
This quest is a must play for players who wish to relive their memories and nostaliga for The Legend of Zelda, but who consider the original game too cumbersome to replay.

Just recently finished this. Fun quest. Must say I didn't know that by picking the candle that I wouldn't even be able to purchase a large shield at a shop, or have one until the last level. Also the dungeon entrance in the graveyard I had to look up the location to because there was a doorway already open on that screen and there was no precedent set for more than one doorway or secret opening on the same screen. In some dungeon rooms, the key would be there upon entrance without having to kill anything. Don't know if this was intentional or you just forgot to check the enemies-item box in the screen data. Speaking of keys, I'm not a fan of putting keys in item cellars, or of rooms where after you kill everything, nothing happens. Have a door open or give me a rupee... or something. Also not a fan of the kind of passages that take you back to the beginning without warning or clue like in L9. However despite what others may think, I am a fan of hiding the dungeon map behind a locked door or two. After all, it is a valuable item, and as long as the dungeon layout isn't too convoluted it should be a bit difficult to aquire.
But overall a good time. Hope you make another one sooner or later, Mani.

Hey I completed this quest, and I think I got everything too, unless there's some big secret I missed
It's a very good NES style quest, and I like what the quest maker did to make it more interesting than other quests, such as mixing up the items you get and their importance. It wasn't super difficult but definitely super fun, and I would definitely recommend trying this quest out for yourself.
also something something where's the ladder.
