This is something of a side-project of mine and something of a sister project to Super Mario Zeal, in that both were started several years ago, but most of my creative efforts have been focused on Super Mario Zeal. Myriad Worlds is merely something for me to work on when I don't feel like firing up PGE to work on levels for Super Mario Zeal. I've been dabbling in and creating (but never releasing) stuff for ZeldaClassic on and off for over 20-ish years now.

Anyways, Myriad Worlds was initially inspired by AtrusW0nder's Myst Isle quest, but I've have clearly added my own spin to this, with further story and gameplay inspiration from YS IV - Dawn of YS (on the PC-Engine), Xenoblade Chronicles and a few things I played.

This Quest Project of mine has been slowly worked on as I have mentioned and there are quite a few unique features such as,
  • A villainous trio that our hero Link will have to contend with
  • A Thieves' Guild, Mages' Guild and The Order of the Star which is a Knightly Order. (inspired by the three factions in Myst Isle)
  • A few hidden secret dungeons with prizes worth struggling for
  • Some interesting lore and backstory regarding the world gates, the guilds and even the Villians!
  • FOEs (freakishly overpowered enemies) outside of dungeons you'll need to learn and strategize for in order to defeat them and gain a guaranteed Heart Container from, that you can then grind for money, further heart container pieces or a certain new thing I'll mention next, FOEs only appear in one spot in each area.
  • Magic Container Pieces. Collect five for a new Magic Container
  • a few intricate dungeons that require more than one visit to completely clear and may require returning to once you have an item from a future dungeon
  • a somewhat non-linear starting phase to this quest (which opens up after you gain the wooden sword)
  • classic JRPG save points in two varieties, one that heals and one that doesn't (coincidentally I should mention F6 saving has been disabled)
