This was a much better quest than Link's Generic Quest, so you're definitely on the right track now! This quest was pretty fun and I would call this more of a Metroidvania rather than NES-Style, since it definitely felt more like an exploration quest. And that's one thing I really liked this time round, it felt a lot like Umbral Cloud in a way with the overworld and the dungeons connecting each other. The overall flow felt pretty good and the difficulty balance was decent (though a bit too easy in some parts). Screen design was generally quite good and nice, though there were a number of weird design choices and tile errors, but they aren't too bad.
I do feel like the quest felt a bit too linear in some paths and there was a lack of shortcuts in others. You could probably try to connect your overworld up a bit more by having more shortcuts so that I won't have to constantly backtrack a very long way. Also, I would probably use the interior type for the dungeons instead of NES Dungeons. I say this because I found myself getting stuck in walls quite frequently when going from one screen to another because of how Link constantly walks forward 2-3 tiles when entering the screen. This prevents many weird gameplay bugs.
Overall though, this was quite a good effort and you're definitely getting better. I'm looking forward to seeing more work from you. I'd give this one a 3.5/5, which rounds up to a 4. Good job!

i won inn 2 hours 23 minutes. it was blind, and i spent most of my time trying to beat the first gleeok.
in the end me and zelda kissed in a fire for some reason. it didnt let me get that one
also, ganon drops the downward triforce, but then another one drops from the ceiling... ok.
a few undercombo bugs, but not many at all. i applaud that, thats something i wasnt able to achieve on my released quest.
the whole game is beatable. thats good. but the dungeons were really short, with just a wide distance between them.
but this was a really fun quest. well done, i enjoyed it a lot. maybe make a non-linear quest next? that would be fun to play!
the screen design for the most part was really high quality, and i love the trees in spring shore

i agree
it was really fun, just not long enough. i feel like you got a case of "i did this for too long and im bored and what to get it over with" syndrome, which is where when you do something for a long time you sort of start to force yourself to do it which lowers the quality and length of the dungeons. i get this aswell. when that happens, take a break, or what i do is start working on a different quest for a while.
but the gameplay was amazing, and i loved searching for hear pieces in this quest (a feat not a lot of quests can pull off. its normally a huge hassle!)
im probably gonna speedrun this game. 4/5 would kiss zelda in a fire again
edit: it took you 3 weeks to make this? it took me 3 years to make my first quest! maybe thats why this is such a short quest
