Description
This quest, designed by Zahalfor and Dwarlen, has two mini dungeons, one full length dungeon, and several simple secrets. The quest is story driven with talkable npcs that add character to the world. All the story takes place between a town, a village, and a mountain's dangerous secret. What will Link find in the dark caverns of the mountain?
The Greatest Rescue is not designed to be an extremely hard quest, but is about moderate in difficulty. It can be completed in about an hour, if Dwarlen's puzzles don't stump you
. Some of the puzzles may take some head-scratching and the boss fights are designed to challenge without overwhelming. But the quest's greatest goal is to provide enjoyable game play to anyone who tries it out. The quest was made using ZQuest v2.50, build 24. There is a tracker music file included in the .zip folder that should be put into the Zelda Classic folder for music in one dungeon.

Story
Link and Epona are romping through the fields when, out of nowhere, they are attacked by bandits. Link is knocked unconscious and, when he wakes up, finds himself alone and missing some of his items. He must now find out who's robbed him and what has become of Epona!
Tips & Cheats
Press 'A' to talk to the npcs and press some switches. If you get stuck in a dungeon, try going back and exploring it over again.

This was a very solid miniquest, and I can definitely see the effort put into it. There's a lot of things to like about this quest, especially the dungeons with their own unique twists and ideas. The Troll Cave had a really awesome concept, being split up into 3 different sections. The graphics were very well put together and I did get lost quite a few times, but I managed to get back on track and finish this quest.
The only downsides I can think of is that a few secrets were a little too hidden and cryptic (e.g. to access the room to forge the Boss Key, I had to read the help thread to find out where to go) and the main overworld felt a little on the bland side since it was quite empty. The Skull Hideout was also a lot harder than the other dungeons in the quest IMO, since those bomb statue enemies are total rekedge and those bombchu's are quite cheap, so there's a bit of a balancing issue there compared with the rest of the quest. The scripts implemented worked very well however, so great job on that. I especially liked the final boss, though he was a bit too easy
My overall rating would be a 4.5/5, which rounds up to a 5. So good job Zahalfor and Dwarlen, you guys made a pretty great quest!

The graphics and palette work are really good in this mini quest. There are some really well-executed ideas in terms of scripting going here - like the bounty system, the key repair in the forge, and the final boss. I think I completed the quest in 1.2 hours.
The final boss wasn't hard but somewhat tedious and I can't remember how I solved some of the maze paths (wizzrobe cave, troll cave), as it was seemingly by chance that I solved the maze rather than any hints given. For a short quest, there are also some glaring spelling/grammar mistakes in the dialogue.
All of those misues don't subtract from the gameplay experience, though. I want to see the creativity and ideas from this quest put into a full-length quest.

Nice job guys! Both of you managed to pull off some interesting puzzles, (and entirely new concepts, such as the forge, that was cool!). A nice time killer for me, but man was it fun, and it introduces a new perspective other than "save the princess" or such.
Round of applause to both of you!

This quest isn't bad.
It's short, to the point, and entertaining for what it is.
Most people who've played this, say that they miss the boomerang. I didn't.
In fact, I like the way that in the guardhouse you list the jobs that link has to go and do...
My biggest problem was the troll cave... for ages I wondered around and couldn't find the maze section... It was trivial when I did find it, but had trouble getting to it.
There's a room in the basement where the enemies spawn indefinitely... had you planned for this?
The other issue was with the switch in the western sky area... so easy to miss! Thanks to everyone in the forum for their help on that one!
If you want a boredom killer, then this quest is for you. Not much wrong with it!

I love the "Dance of Remembrance" tileset. Play was smooth till I missed the boomer. Your hint about going back and trying the dungeon again should have been - go back out and retrace your steps, find what you missed-as the boomer wasn't in the dungeon, so that took me a while.
This is a wonderful little game with fun new ideas and puzzles. I wish you had gone ahead and made this a full game. I would have waited, heh. Thank you, and I look forward to more fun games from you!

Loving it so far!
Great job!
I don't know HOW you got it so that you could have two items on a single screen and the other not disappear when taking one. That just baffles me, but I love it!
T-r-i-c-k-y puzzles. You're right that they really make you think! I had trouble in the Wizzrobe's cave, but then I found out you can turn off the color magic emitters by touching the crystal again. BTW, I never figured out what the tiles under the blocks in the room shown in the second screenshot were for; not sure if there's something hidden in that room or what. I was able to beat the Wizzrobes, though.
I now just have the (I'm assuming) end boss to defeat. I think it's taking me more than an hour to beat this mini-quest, but that's just me.
