I love this quest so much despite its faults I still give it a 5 because the enjoyment factor outweighs the issues I have with it. However, as a review it is only fair to consider those faults and critique them.

Graphics:
The graphics were solid everywheere. Though some were better than others. The Machinery Tower and Ancient Waterway were beautiful. However, the Underground Graveyard was meh. Overall though, it all is really good and I appreciate the work you put into the custom tiles.
4.5/5

Difficulty:
There were a couple parts more difficult than they should be, which was a bit of a spike. I also found the statue shooters overkill here and there. I sort of feel like the Ancient Waterway should have been later in the quest for how difficult it is. But, every thing else goes up in difficulty enough. The Machinery Tower's ridiculous is on the verge of bull. But, I forgive it.
3.5/5

Bosses:
The bosses are really just normal Z1 bosses in sideview. But I'm down with that. Death however was kind of bs. Mainly cause you try to hit his weakpoint and hit the invisible damage combos. I get the idea but it gets so far off from his body that it just makes me sad.
3.5/5

Gameplay:
The gameplay is really solid, other than the issues you had with the jump mechanic. It does make things screwy here and there. But you get used to it, and it wasn't too bad. The jump really shows its faults in the Machinery Tower though. Also, I like the save points. They were close enough that I found it not to be a bother.
4/5

Areas:
Areas were all really cool and original mainly. And you chose the appropriate graphics to display them. The Ancient Waterway is my favorite.
5/5

Story:
It's really simple, but so good. It could open up its own universe of quests.
5/5

Enjoyment Factor:
This is just loads of fun. It is my favorite quest on the database and you did an excellent job.
6/5

Overall
Despite its faults with things like the Death boss fight, difficulty spikes and just a few little things, it's just perfect. And like I said, my enjoyment overrides these faults.

4/5 with faults rounded up to 5/5 cause I love it.

I liked this game but I raged a lot in it,
I can see that you put a lot of effort into this game so that is why I must give it a 4. I think the only problem with this game is the script used for the jumping.

This is a very interesting quest concept which works really well. Playing through this reminds me of Super Metroid and other similar Metroidvania games and IMO this one works very very well. The graphic style is very interesting and unique and reminds me a lot of the Castlevania games along with Zelda 2 near the end. The song choices were really nice and difficulty generally wasn't too hard or too easy, it was a decent challenge.

The reason why I'm giving this a 4 however, is due to these three reasons:
- Jumping is really annoying, and I kinda find it hard to jump ledges since you can only jump when you're not near the edges of blocks, so getting through certain parts is really annoying. I do understand you couldn't do anything about this though, but still that's how I feel about it.
- Removing the continue screen kinda made it harder to go through the quest in some parts and put on a lot of pressure in some areas. I find it kind of annoying to repeat what I did when I die and it gets a little infuriating at times.
- Some areas which require the Grab Spell (name?) are really hard to reach as you need to jump and then use it at the perfect moment. Half the time I kept missing and ended up dying sometimes. I would suggest to lower the Hookshot grabs to where you can easily reach without having to jump.

Besides those points, this is a VERY solid quest and I had a lot of fun. I would definitely LP this, so expect one of these to come soon.
