Not great... Music tends to be better when there's a common theme—a sort of unifying goal that the musical progression strides for. I thought the instrumentation was sufficient to convey a sense of emptiness, though the dissonance was a little heavy at points and the lack of a consistent percussion rhythm was a little off-putting. I suppose these faults can largely be attributed to the original, and heck, many people out there probably don't see these as faults. I can only rate with my own ears though.
