Information
When the Metroid Prime tiles by Toaofgamecube were uploaded, the first thing I did was create my own Metroid game. I had just completed it when my computer crashed and my file was erased. Then 2.50 came out with working Sideview gravity and since I'd already conceived of this idea, I started working on it in earnest. That was the beginning of a long process, which included using Spriter's Resource.
About Reviews Comments Forum Topics
Description
Based on the classic SNES game, including the introductory graphics and story. Some changes have been made due to the constraints of Zelda Classic. Items have been substituted as needed. Some enemies aren't as good as I'd like. Every energy tank, missile tank, super missile tank and power bomb in the original game is included along with 8 Energy Parts for two extra Energy Tanks. You can use each save room by standing in the pod, pressing down ahd hitting the button selected for Start.
Update: 3-8-15- Add scripted features including the following.
Jump with Ex1 Button.
Working Space Jump, Screw Attack.
Countdown timer, Earthquakes.
Large Enemies that move about and attack you.
Scripted Item pickup, including Missile refill rooms.
Enemy Spawn points.
Moving Platform transitions between areas.
Lava script for impassible areas.
Update- 6-21-15
Fixed a few graphical bugs and made a few jumps slightly easier.
Corrected problems with restorer station script caused by in-game items I forgot to remove, namely wallets and quivers.
Ehdeavored to correct a few continue bugs.

Really, really, bad. For Zelda Classic anyway, you're better off looking at some rom maps or other documentation of Super Metroid and try to make a real clone. ZC is a zelda 1 clone, not super metroid clone, even with scripts it can never make this as badass as super metroid.
Please, for the love of god, do not call something a clone when you're using a specialized engine. ZC is not meant for this. My eyes couldn't handle the messed up graphics, and there's way too many inconsistencies. It ain't super metroid without all the stuff it's good for.
Reasons not to make a game like this:
1. Too much work spriting
2. Too much scripting which could crash the engine
3. You can't really side scroll
4. You can't run, jump, shoot, wall jump, simutaneously
5. The list goes on forever...
Nice try, but no good, sorry I can't even give this a star

3 Major flaws.
Jumping is such a major part of this game that it sucks to have it as one of the items. It really should be bound to one of the Ex1-4 keys.
When you go between different areas, your items that you have selected switch around and it can be hard to equip some items in the menu.
This one is major. I have yet to see any enemies drop missiles or super missiles(Rupees and arrows). Are they meant to drop it, because I haven't found any and I made it past Kraid. I am stopped at a Super Missile door with no way to get through.
Especially with the 3rd point leaving me permastuck(theoretically), I cannot give this anything higher than 0 stars. If the 3rd point is fixed or I'm directed to a solution, then I can bump the rating up, and even higher is the other 2 points are looked at.

Don't play this version. It's really badly sprited and poorly scripted.
The main reason I haven't asked for this to be removed from the database is because it was a significant point in my history as a quest maker.
If you download any of my Metroid quests, try Origins which has original bosses and an actual story.
I remade this as Super Metroid (ZC Remake) with improved visuals and scripts,
I would highly advise anyone who comes across this quest to play that instead.
