Many songs in the database start off strong but have a lackluster finish. This song is exactly the opposite: it gets better as it goes along.

I can't say the song sounded particularly spooky until about the 1:20 mark, but the synths from that point onward were well chosen. The section that began around 1:56 was really refreshing and particularly haunting, possibly because the repetitive drum track took a break and allowed me to get swallowed into the eeriness.

This is a solid four stars; an intro that sets the mood a little better—with some more substance, perhaps—would improve it some. I can see myself using this in a quest as is (if I ever complete a quest, that is ).
