This was a great quest. I enjoyed LPing this and I had a lot of fun playing this. Screen design is really good and you did an awesome job with the FYS tileset, something I would want to see more. The soundtrack was also superb and the non-linearity throughout the quest is a really nice touch.
While there were great things I can say, there are also the negatives. For one, the save system sucks. This system is at worst in dungeons since there's only one near at beginning and one near the end (except for Level 9). What sucks about this is that there aren't any shortcuts to the start most of the time, so if you manage to finally accomplish something, you would have to take the long trip back to save so that you don't have to do that section again. A shortcut would really help so that you don't accidentally die on your way back and repeat everything all over again. Also, the difficulty skyrockets at the bonus dungeon. I understand this is optional content and it doesn't count towards the main game, but I still think the 4th warrior is overkill, especially with the bombs dealing like 4 hearts with the red tunic. At least make the warrior more fair by reducing its damage so that it won't take forever to kill this boss. A save point in the room before would help a lot too. Also, there were a couple rooms with crappy design, like one room in Level 8 with unavoidable traps. Finally, Level 8 felt significantly shorter than almost all the other dungeons. Not sure why Level 8 was insanely short, but that was a little weird to see. A bit of a minor thing though.
With all the negatives aside though, this was a great quest and I enjoyed a lot of it. You did a pretty good job and I look forward to more quests from you. 4.25/5, which rounds down to a 4.

I don't feel right rating this, because I didn't get too far in. I must agree with the others who say nixing the continue screen was a bad move. The save points seem like an arbitrary change. I asked myself, "does this make the game better?" and had to answer with a clear no.
The title sequence is broken. The player can control the invisible Link to walk off the sides. For scenes like this, you should use the warps to put Link where you want and use invisible unwalkable combos to prevent him from walking out of bounds. Walking off the sides like this puts Link in the wrong spot on the title screen, making it virtually impossible to proceed.
To me, the overworld seemed a little too big and empty. I wandered to a lot of places before I found level 1, and really didn't find much of anything of value.
I did enjoy the aesthetics in Level 1, and from some of the screenshots I've seen, later levels look nice, too. I quit partially through level 1 when I realized dying at any point would cause me to start the whole level over. The custom sound effects and the unique musical choices gave the quest a really special kind of feel. I think there's a lot of good ideas here, but there were a bunch of bugs and questionable design choices that killed it for me.

I liked the music in the quest, but when I downloaded the updated quest, I couldn't find the music. Did I do something wrong?
EDIT:Nevermind...my ZC program stopped working as far as music goes....ill uninstall, then re-install and see how it goes
EDIT 2:OK now it's working again...I don't know how I fixed it.
