This was a great quest. I enjoyed LPing this and I had a lot of fun playing this. Screen design is really good and you did an awesome job with the FYS tileset, something I would want to see more. The soundtrack was also superb and the non-linearity throughout the quest is a really nice touch.
While there were great things I can say, there are also the negatives. For one, the save system sucks. This system is at worst in dungeons since there's only one near at beginning and one near the end (except for Level 9). What sucks about this is that there aren't any shortcuts to the start most of the time, so if you manage to finally accomplish something, you would have to take the long trip back to save so that you don't have to do that section again. A shortcut would really help so that you don't accidentally die on your way back and repeat everything all over again. Also, the difficulty skyrockets at the bonus dungeon. I understand this is optional content and it doesn't count towards the main game, but I still think the 4th warrior is overkill, especially with the bombs dealing like 4 hearts with the red tunic. At least make the warrior more fair by reducing its damage so that it won't take forever to kill this boss. A save point in the room before would help a lot too. Also, there were a couple rooms with crappy design, like one room in Level 8 with unavoidable traps. Finally, Level 8 felt significantly shorter than almost all the other dungeons. Not sure why Level 8 was insanely short, but that was a little weird to see. A bit of a minor thing though.
With all the negatives aside though, this was a great quest and I enjoyed a lot of it. You did a pretty good job and I look forward to more quests from you. 4.25/5, which rounds down to a 4.

This is the best quest that used the FYS tileset for now.
Very solid quest, the sounds/music and the good tileset usage make this quest his own thing. It's a Z1 clone with some ZC features and the fun feeling is all the way.
The overworld is good for the most part, some zones scream for more secrets (south-east). There are some lazy screens from Z1. It's nonlinear, and you have to find the sword, rings, heart containers... The dungeons are short and easy to tackle, to fit the save system point. All of them have cool themes.
It's a very fun quest. The bugs and some things like the (bad and uninspired) block puzzles diminish a bit the enjoyment. Try to fix L2 (The ladder is useless except in L6)... And some Traps in certain parts are impossible to avoid (L8 for example), mandatory damage is never a good thing. L8 for example is too short and easy for a L8, the dungeons are a bit too linear sometimes.
Very good difficulty curve and I enjoyed the cameos. If you like Z1, give a shot to this quest, very entertaining in his style. Nothing revolutionary here, but it's engaging, and that is the highest praise that I can give to a quest.

This quest is pretty much like your standard quest but with enhanced mechanics to make it feel like an SNES game.
The sfx was great for the most part but didn't make much sense when hitting enemies, the low health beep was kind of too loud me though.
The music was awesome, I think I recognized some from Final Fantasy 4, 6, mystic quest, castlevania, and others but can't remember.
I love how almost every enemy has an animation and somewhat custom AI
There's not much you can do with graphics since it was built with an 8-bit engine but the tiles used were really nice, like zelda 3,
it was built on a 16-bit engine but only had 8-bit color depth but you did the opposite which was good for me.
I don't think there was any burnable trees anywhere execpt in the dark realm.
There were 4 minor bugs (some of them may not be)
1) If you don't quit ZC after saving, the file might be lost
2) Sometimes animations halt or only happen half way, sometimes
if you use the ladder you can't go up and if you go down some
stairs with the ladder, the ladder will stay on the screen
3) The dark realm has a crapload of black screens,
I don't know if that was intentional but you should
probably block that way with some mountains
4) After recieving an item for the first time, the description
shouldn't appear, I always find myself pressing the speed up " ` "
button during those
The quest overall wasn't difficult at all, but wasn't a walk in the park either.
Pretty well balanced for the most part, the game caves were pretty predictable,
I guess you didn't modify those. I didn't find the map in level 8 but still beat it, and
got the item (silver arrows?)
The final screen said I beat this in a little under 4 hours. This was again because my
save disappeared and had to start over (It didn't affect the saves of other quests though)
Anyways all in all, this is a solid quest. I recommend this to anyone who likes zelda 1
