Within the genre it occupies (classic-styled, standard 8 + 1 dungeon quest), it's a lot of fun to play through and explore it's worlds. The overworld is very well designed. I enjoyed it. Most of the secrets are pretty-well marked, and I would have preferred a bit more subtlety in places. While the original's trial-and-error can be frustrating, I greatly prefer "that wall looks a little suspicious in the context of the screen" to "the ground in front of that piece of wall is a different color!" Later in the game secrets were more hidden, which is good. Also, the game had a weird difficulty curve, at least how I played it. I had the blue tunic and white sword for what seemed like forever then in the span of about 15 minutes (no exaggeration) went from the white sword, to the magic sword, to the master sword, to the "uber" sword that I didn't even know existed. This made the final levels, even 8 and 9, pretty much a joke difficulty-wise. Overall though, for a classic-styled quest, fun factor is what matters, and this game was a lot of fun to play. Four stars.

I was going to give this game a rating of 4, but as I sat with the idea it came to me that I was sorry the game had ended. That was a sign to me that this game is just plain fun, not too hard, not too easy, enjoyable. Thus the 5 star rating. I am looking forward to your next game. I am sure it will be even better!
