I've had this quest on my backlog for a very long time now and finally decided to give it a go, and I gotta say, it was very good! Not perfect, but then again what is? I'm gonna break my analysis into chunks so its more digestable:

World:

The overworld was designed pretty well for the most part, though it felt a smidge empty at points. I think some more secrets would've gone a long way. The tunnel system was a very nice addition, acting as both a hub of shortcuts and a second overworld of sorts. The side areas like the forest, graveyard, ice mountain, and desert were okay but a bit too linear for my liking. I loved Mt. Haraj though. The character cameos at the inn were a nice touch and the minigames were a decent little distraction.

Dungeons:

Level 1 - Ocean Grotto: Run-of-the-mill water dungeon, but still decent for what it is. Boss is stupidly easy but that was probably intentional.

Level 2 - Solflare Cavern: Definitely the weakest out of the main 6. Nothing really sticks out in my head aside from the Earthbound music and the boss being Fry Guy from Mario 2.

Level 3 - Thieves' Tunnel: Pretty good. I like how one of the main treasures is right there in front of you from the beginning but still unobtainable until you get the Boss Key. Like the SA2 music as well.

Level 4 - Eastern Palace: Absolutely superb. Puzzles were great, the main gimmick was well executed, there were some puzzles that genuinely got me to think, and the music is great although I don't recognize it. Best dungeon in the entire quest easily.

Level 5 - Temple of Passing: The main gimmick here is genius. You basically just took the whole Dark World/Light World idea from ALTTP, scaled it down to a single dungeon, and made it work. Really like how you used 2 different versions of the same song too.

Level 6 - Frost Tower: Linear but still very enjoyable. The basement was a neat inclusion.

Level 7 - Solcore: Barely even a dungeon. It's mainly just a handful of rooms filled with enemies up until you fight the final boss. Guess it works but something grander would've been more ideal, I think.

Cave of Illusions: Very trippy. I liked it a lot.

Story:

Eh, this is probably the worst thing about the quest. Feels like it rips off Link's Awakening a bit too much. Then again, this quest is over 8 years old so I think I can excuse it somewhat. Even the classics like Hero of Dreams have honestly laughable stories when you sit down and actually analyze them.

Music:

Music choices were fantastic all across the board. The Okami music in the field, FF6 music for the ice mountain, Super Paper Mario music for Mt. Haraj, and the Rolling Stones song in the desert were probably my favorite overworld songs. All the dungeon themes fit great although I have no clue what games levels 4 and 6's themes come from.

Overall, this is a very solid quest and is a pretty easy playthrough. Definitely feels like a 2.10 quest at its core but that's not necessarily a bad thing. You did a great job with this.

After watching Teamudf LP this quest I decided to give it a go. And I was not disappointed. Other than a few grammatical errors and the wonky cave system (which thankfully is explained in-game) this quest is definitely up there in terms of solid dungeon design, unique items and music choices (Level 5 was VERY well done in that respect, as well as the final boss theme choice). I'm not letting the aforementioned "flaws" affect my review, here, and I hope for future quests from you Epad! Well done!

Good quest. Short, but sweet. Good level design and I liked the music choice. Worth a play for those who want a quick, good, and fairly easy quest.

I'm going to give this five stars because the dungeon designs (my favorite thing) are clever, well-thought out and often inspired. At times there are too many strings of text to wade through before boss fights. I wish they were skippable after the first time. I generally don't care much about story but the work put into all aspects of this by the creator really show through. I do wish it were a bit more challenging in places as most of the boss fights are really easy although I did die a few times, hence my comment above. This is an excellent effort on the whole.
