This quest looked ok in the standard basic Z1 format. The gameplay was ok, too.
To be totally honest I felt the whole thing was a bit stiff and little annoying. I thought many of the puzzle solution were a bit illogical and obtuse. Resource drops, like bombs and magic refills, were a bit scarce. I always ran out in the dungeons. The dungeon designs were somewhat unlikeable and tedious for me. Please make the block puzzles permanent! A lot of those were a long winded setup to solve (while simultaneously being uninteresting). Lets be real; no one enjoys solving the same puzzles over and over.

This is a major update to the original 2.10 version of this quest of mine, revamped and redone for 2.5.~
EDIT: 5/16/13 - Hotfixed some stairs that did not show up in Level 4. They should now! All of the stairs in there are now fixed.
EDIT: 4/19/14 - Fixed a possible game-ending scenario in Level 5. Sorry about that!

It is true that this quest does have a difficulty level that is above average, but it can be beaten if you are persistent. Most of the levels were a little too linear for my liking, but I did find levels 5 and 8 to be interesting. The new graphics do make things look better, but the general appearance of the game still has room for improvement (as big as level 6 is, it could use a unique look of its own.)
