As a minor chase theme, this works well. Like the type of thing you'd hear when you're playing, and a monkey steals your wallet or something haha. But I'd fill in the bass regions with something meatier and add more percussion.
If it's any consolation, this song is a heck of a lot better than KK's own.

I see what you were going for, but the song sounds a little empty at points... as if all the sound in the background. It sounds like a mix of Ocarina of Time, Majora's Mask, and Link's Awakening. What you do have is really nice, though. I can feel the tension.
