While graphically and dungeon design wise this looks nice, this quest feels more like a technical demo and lacks something the First Quest has in two elements: Replayability and fun. It seems you are looping and looping the old levels for hours looking for items you can't find, and I miss the old enemy groups because you seem to fight the same old enemies for the most part over and over again. While good as a technical showcase, I feel this totally misses the mark on the enjoyment factor. The later levels are OK in difficulty, but the early levels are super easy. Not my cup of tea.

This 1st Quest remake is simply phenomenal from a design & layering standpoint! Absolutely enjoyed the new twists, new enemies in each dungeon too with very well crafted puzzles. Great music choices as well.
A definite 4 stars in my book! Great work DaDoc! :3

just got done playing your remake version and I played the originial last july I think. I missed 4 pieces of heart and only found 1 bomb upgrade but that is not why you only get 4 stars. I need a bonus dungeon or 2 and the hammer and reflector shields for 5 stars. Still this is a nice fun quest and I am very glad I played it. Not too difficult for beginners.

This is a very solid effort. Your use of layers takes something very old and familiar and makes it feel new. The last few levels in particular are extremely well done. Difficulty is fairly mild. It's getting harder and harder to find first quest remakes worth playing but you pulled it off. I did have to look up the entrance to one of the levels and I'm sure you know the one I mean. You should give a better hint for that.
