Following the events of Metroid: Fusion, Samus has returned to her daily routine of handling dangerous missions for the Galactic Federation. When she spots one of her targets making a landing on an unexplored planet, she follows them to the surface and embarks on an exploration of this world after severe damage to her power suit.
