It wasnt for me. While I appreciate the huge effort involved making this there were a few things I didnt care for.
I didnt like the tileset. To me it felt like a mishmash of styles and colors. The contrast was low on the different bushes and grass in the overworld so it was kind of hard to read and to know where to go. Same in some parts of the dungeons. It felt a little clunky and cumbersome to navigate.
It all was a little to cryptic for me. As far as finding clues and secrets go nothing was intuitive; it felt like a struggle all the time right from the very beginning. I understand a lot people like it to be very challenging in this way but, for me, it killed the flow and fun factor being stuck all the time. I'm glad there was a video walkthrough, but even then I find it annoying to have to virtually follow the walkthrough all the time step by step just to progress.
