I'm trying to stay true to the original LOZ by making nearly every level accessible from the beginning...and like in the original, you can obtain a few heart containers and white sword before even entering level 1. You can also explore most of the overworlds without any items. I have several scripted enemies, bosses, and rooms through the quest so far...to give it a feel of the classics you'll be entering. Several custom weapon/items, many secrets throughout, and tons of re-exploration.
I would like to bring some people in on the project (mainly scripters, and LOZ level designers). I have used up nearly ALL of the tiles, and have created several custom palettes and combos. I've import all of the sound effects, and MIDI from the original games. My goal was to make main levels using 8 different classic games. As of now, I'm standing at about 4 (5 if you include LOZ), and I'm running out of room. The Sub-con is 90% completed, Outer Heaven is about 50%, Crateria is 15%, LOZ is around 85%, and I have one level in Mega Man at 95%. With all of the work I've done on and off for 6 months, it's time to bring in some dedicated workers.
