Asleep on the Beanstalk
Description:
"Asleep on the Beanstalk" is a very simple, short, dreamy song, inspired by music box lullabies. Ironically, the piece has no music box instrument since I didn't like how it sounded in multiple voices, but its effect still comes through using piano and subtle violin. The piece took three days to compose, over which I had recurring visions of a child falling asleep while listening to a fairy tale, hence the creative title. I didn't realize until seconds ago that the only character who falls asleep in the actual fairy tale "Jack and the Beanstalk" is the giant who promptly gets beheaded and/or falls to his death after the beanstalk is sliced down. Alas. Everything can use a gruesomely quirky second meaning. "Fee! Fie! Foe! Fum!"
I'm getting carried away. In Zelda Classic, one might use it as the background of a story section or dream, as a theme of a character, or in any way you can imagine. I wouldn't recommend looping it too many times just because the high timbre of the instruments can get annoying, but it's up to you. Yes, you have the power. If you want to use it in an intense, hour-long chase scene, you do that. Whatever you choose, please enjoy.
