Geepa's First Quest (Beta182 version)

Description

This is an update on a quest released over a year ago. It is a small exploration-driven quest with a lot of backtracking into previous dungeons, and moving to later dungeons before you beat the one you're on.

The 2nd dungeon has a room with a bat ringleader in it which is very useful early on.

Story

Link is on a quest to gather 4 shards of the Triforce, face Ganon, and rescue the pretty lady. How original, eh?

Tips & Cheats

Do explore very carefully after getting a Triforce piece.

The level 1 cheat can be found by beating the quest.

Actively preventing people from getting useful items if they fail your special after triforce segments is malicious and possibly the absolute worst mechanic I have ever seen implemented in the hundreds of quests I've played, even the ones designed to kill you on the first screen.

This quest has a lot of cool ideas and nice graphic replacements in it, but overall it is very poorly designed and unforgiving, especially at the beginning.

Before last night, this was the oldest quest that I hadn't beaten. Now I don't know what the next oldest one is, lol.

Good retro quest, solid logical progression. But there was quite a bit that I didn't manage to get to, especially in the underworld cave system. Some of the secrets were just unfair. Through most of level 4 I was wondering where on earth the rings were, then at the end of the level I get the red one. I must have missed the invisible switch that opens the doorway to the blue ring somewhere further back.

Fully playable with ver. 2.53. Small, logical, and very enjoyable quest.
Advices for a new player:
1) After getting a triforce, never save or continue soon. You have to find some hidden time-limited items before quitting your play.
2) You should step every single floor or ground tile to reveal secret, especially for silver arrow.
3) Sword L4 is not very useful.
