Completed this in about 90 minutes. It is a decent remake of Metroid, with the limitations of Zelda Classic without scripting. Pretty easy for the most part until you reach the Mother Brain battle, where the difficulty spikes significantly, and is really difficult if you already used up your medicine equivalents. Good for the most part, and certainly enjoyable.

The music is the 2.10 MIDI glitch, not the fault of the author. This quest is good in concept, so/so in execution, thus three stars. I liked the nostalgia value and the idea of remaking M1 in Zelda Classic. There were some cool tiles. OTOH, the gameplay was just OK. It was short, often bland, and Mother Brain, at least for me, was way too hard compared to everything else.
I would actually like to see someone try and make a bigger version of this with SM maps, and incorporate things like the grapple beam and super bombs. I like good Metroid quests, and this is decent, but Metroid XL-75 remake it isn't.
