File No.167

Description:
What we have here is a collaboration between Oulisa and myself, titled "File No.167".

The base of this sequence is inspired by Live Earth, a series of worldwide concerts held on July 7th 2007 to initiate a three-year campaign against climate change. The logo for Live Earth is the Morse Code distress signal "S.O.S". The MIDI you see here utilizes the S.O.S. itself as a constant beeping to accompany a simple drum track, and then it expanded from that, becoming more of a synthetic trance than simply a series of repetitive beeps.

I must admit, until today, I always just clicked this midi away after just the first 1 or 2 seconds, because of how ugly it sounded.

But now I finally listened the whole thing. I didn't regret it. The S.O.S. beat was integrated into the song extremely well. I missed such an amazing piece, and that just because of the intro.

That is CATHCHY! Just the SOS rhythm hooked me in!

I love your music! (Both Espilan and Oulisa)

It has a great sense of urgency to it. The Morse code as the bass line makes sense in this kind of song, logically, and it even sounds good.

This is so radically unlike anything entered in the database so far that I can't do less than give it a 5. The beginning wasn't so great, but that is minor considering what a great MIDI this is.

The MP3 was great, but had a slightly different feel to it. I love both the MIDI and the MP3, but only the MIDI counts for my rating.
