That's not the real problem though. The script only runs for one frame, if Link presses a button while entering the screen. You see, nothing is keeping it alive. It doesn't care about collision with the ffc (stepping on it) as described, either. Actually, it pretty much doesn't do..anything.
In order for it to work, at all, at all, it needs to be in a loop, and if it's supposed to work if the player presses a button while in contact with the ffc, it needs a collision check:
That doesn't solve the other issues, though. It still doesn't do anything meaningful. if you want to play a message that an item has been disabled, or play a message only if an item slot is disabled, or an item is removed from inventory, then you need to add more statements to handle those facets.
The rating that I'm forced to give is nil. This is based on functionality, as this script isn't complete-enough to be functional. If it at least worked, I wouldn't have done that, but it'd still be pretty bad, as it doesn't even try to do what it claims to do (by script name).
If Kivtoe goes back in and fixes it, I'll happily remove this rating, but someone in the DB staff slipped when they added this, as it doesn't meet the standards of a DB entry.
