I recently did a test play of Doublevision and completed it for future LPing purposes.

Gotta say for a VERY old quest made back on 1.92 Beta 163 this is quite an impressive gem here. Nice dungeon structure, solid puzzles which make use of almost every item you have. Wish the music could have been more varied as it has the standard mix of Z1, Z2, LTTP tunes, etc but it certainly doesn't detract from the experience. Difficulty can be tough at times especially with waves of enemies on each screen....and especially in certain dungeon rooms.
Overall, I'd recommend this to everyone.....not as good as LBDX but I can safely say this is TEH Z's 2nd best quest hands down!

Seeing as this was one of your older works, it's to be expected, but I felt that this quest was pretty lacking in a lot of degrees. The whole dark world concept really just made a lot of the overworld travel tedious, and certain parts of the overworld felt like they were really linear. The dungeon design, once I could tell you were getting into the swing of things, was pretty decent; however, there were some really odd puzzles and ideas early on. Some puzzles on the overworld don't entirely make sense, which can also make things a bit annoying at times. Also, I'd suggest varying up the bosses more. Seeing so many digdoggers got to be annoying... But, it was still a decent quest. I felt the strength of the dungeons was dragged down a bit by a poor overworld concept. So, I was forced to give this a 3/5.

I finally got around to playing this again and finishing it, as I got stuck and gave up when I tried it years ago. For the time it was made, this would have been considered an excellent quest. I still think it's very solid by today's standard. It goes to show that you can still do a lot with an older version. The overworld isn't the most impressive design out there, but it is still excellent for gameplay. It was well planned out, very consistent, and a lot of good ideas were put into it. You are missed Mr. Z, but your quests will forever make their mark.

Good quest, but the constant switching between the worlds is a turn off.

Quite the fun quest, here. I actually loved traveling about this overworld, and the various shortcuts that open up later.

The dungeons, while not nearly as incredible as Link's Birthday, were fairly fun to get through, and challenging yet not frustrating.
