I really really tried with this quest. I couldnt get through Levels 5 or 6 no matter how many times I tried. Way too hard. It didnt help that you have to totally grind to buy potions, bombs and magic after each try, either. No saving fully stocked an retrying by "Quit without saving" on this. It doesnt start you from dungeon. It sends you all the way back to town. On those 2 levels I had to leave multiple times to restock just to progress a little at a time, but then, of course everything resets. Its dumb to have resolve the same block puzzles over and over. It really slows down the quest.
The quest starts off aimless with no direction. I found levels 2, 3, 6, 7 and 8 before I found level 1.
I found the wasd gameplay a little stiff. Diagonal movement would have helped. I also found that sword attacks didnt always register even when they clearly landed, especially when using the rapid swing. That felt useless. A little more consistency with enemy bounce back when you hit them would make for much more gratifying battle, too.
The quest looked great! Really lush and full. I loved how intricate all the landscapes and dungeons were.
Bummer I couldnt finish it.

Hype Description:
This is a complete re-envisioning of Hyrule the way it was meant to be. Old places look new and unfamiliar, dungeons you have scoured many times in the past no longer bear the same treasures or the same design. Secrets that were once common knowledge have been lost and are hidden in new locations. The entire world has changed and you have to change with it if you want to survive. This is Legend of Zelda: Origin.

Well, it looks really cool. Am I to understand you can't talk to folks and you can't open doors? I can't talk to any of the people in the town I start in, and I made it to what I think is the first dungeon (about same place as vanilla) but the door is closed. I also saw doors on the houses I couldn't open. It seems like I am missing a button for some reason...

I just started playing this quest and I seem to be having trouble with it. I'm using the latest version of ZC (2.50 Build 27) and I can't seem to finish any of the minigames. I hit all 6 targets when they appear, and I do it with great speed. after hitting the last target, the sound is played for activating the secret and I just stand there until the game says I was too slow. This happens every time I play the Candle minigame and the Boomerang minigame.
Any ideas on how I could fix this? Is there a more specific version of ZC that I should be using?
Other than the seemingly broken minigames, I'm really enjoying this quest. ^_^
