I love the--what are they, woodblocks? marimbas?--that get louder and quieter. They keep me awake and set the mood perfectly. Quite frankly, without that hook, this piece would be nothing. The drawn out voices are decent, but seem to lose focus in the second half of the piece when the combine with the flute. I disagree with the others who say that this piece needs a melody, but that said, it still needs to be reworked to be demuddified ™.
