This quest feels true beta-ish and incomplete. I am sorry to say this is a poor result even for a beginner. There's too many exit glitches in which you find yourself stuck in bushes or other places, in one screen you get stuck in water, on another place, you scroll to the next screen and suddenly enters a passage tunnel? 
I found the Red Ring and two heart containers after roughly fifteen minutes of gameplay so my opinion is that the item placement is also badly planned.
