Serenade of Ruin

Description:
Originally started out as a remix of OoT Kakariko Village. Then I found out it's unique enough to be it's own song.

It has two parts; The glum part and the fast part.

Serving suggestion: Use this on a ruined map (preferably ruined town) with a dungeon entrance. Start from 0, and when the player finds the entrance, the music should be roughly close to the fast part. The dungeon should have this song as well so it doesn't interrupt.

If the player dies in the dungeon, he continues on a pit-warp-filled room. He warps to a different Dmap, yet the same map and level number - the alternate dmap has a second copy of the song, which starts at the second half of the song.

Enjoy.

Well, the strings were too loud and there were a few weird notes. With that said, I love the piano and part shortly thereafter. The fast part... meh.

Sounds like a nice piano solo. It sounds awsome on my computer. But you could reduce the volumn on the strings a bit. A coouple places with some sour notes, probably because some of the strings notes are whole notes blending into each other. The the weird pad joins in the middle of the song and the whole feeling changes, until the strings join in again.
Not too shabby for your first work. Way better than my first work!

Sounds like a mix of the Moonlight Sonata and Greensleeves.

This isn't really bad for a first song, Stun. Not too great (I can't say I was expecting you to absolutely own my pants and then some), but not bad.

Suggestions:
  For the glum section:
1) Reduce the strings volume a bit *or* increase the piano volume.
2) While it isn't really bad there isn't any, some *slight* percussion could be used.
3) When you start using controls in your work, some piano tracks (including the one in this song) will benefit from control #64 being used at the right time.

  For the fast section:
1) Having been a tuba player, I must say this: Where's the bass?
2) I was expecting a sawtooth in there somewhere along with the square. This isn't really something worth noticing, but it's something I noticed.
3) This section could probably use some sustained chords. Maybe using one of the other strings ensembles.

My suggestions aside, this is still a decent first song.
