this quest is decent, but not quite good. the worst errors were choices in tile use. rough edges abound. it's mostly functional, but it sure isn't pretty. while I do appreciate the attention to function over form, it still isn't quite fun, so... I cannot recommend this quest. **

While I played this on 2.10 and the Magic Octorocks/Wizzrobe's magic didn't show, it didn't affect my game that much. Solid effort. You did an interesting thing by putting the Magical Sword in a dungeon making it somewhat tough to get without the right approach.

I know this is one of freedom's first quest and compared to his later ones.... well there is no comparison. But as first quests go this was enjoyable. Played in 2.10 with a few glitches but no game stoppers (can't play in 190 on my computer).

Here is the original. Sure it's his first one, and a few things could have been better, but overall, with the exception of very few, most quest makers cannot duplicate a very important element in Freedom's quests. There is something innately, almost indescribably satisfying about his quests. You don't feel like you're treated unfairly, or punished for busting your a**. If you make the same mistake over and over (re: "Go home little boy!"), then you're given a minor inconvenience. But most often you are rewarded fairly for your effort, and simple as it may seem. the effort makes you feel that you righted something in the world. Thanks Freedom!

I liked this quest. Not bad for a first quest from now an expert quest author.

There were graphical flaws, but nothing too bad.
