They're useful, but they have a LOT of potential ahead of them. For one, think of what you could do with them in terms of Relational mode. This will involve a lot more tiles. More detailed isn't necessarily worse.
But the tiles aren't overly detailed or difficult to draw. It just looks like dirt, as it is. I feel like I've seen these in the original Newfirst or something like that.
