This quest has such a solidity to it.

In many ways this is a great quest. Levels 6-8 are fantastic, the overworld is well-designed, it utilizes terrific use of classic tiles, and the difficulty is about perfect. I finshed it and nearly always had fun.

So why four stars? As mentioned, some of the item placements were just... out there. I don't see anyone getting the lens (an indispensible item) by anything other than dumb luck or looking it up. The blue ring and white sword were almost as bad. I like having to search a bit (I hate quests where every bomb and burn spot is obvious), but, this sort of took it to the other extreme. There were also a few dungeon rooms with block puzzles where you could get stuck and have to use F6. Level 9 was a disappointment.

A DX or reworked version of this with these few things fixed could easily be one of the best quests in the DB.

Finished it without a single bug. That to me is 5 stars in itself. Liked it alot--I found everything but the boots and the spells (I don't think they are in the game though--couldn't find a need for any). That fire Gleelok in Level 5 is insane. Accounted for all but one of my deaths. Anyhow, I really enjoyed it. You didn't need to hide everything so well though!

I think this quest is awesome. Yeah, some items are hidden extremely well, like Love For Fire said, but that adds on to the challenge of this quest. You might just want to ease up on that next time though. But whatever, I give this quest five stars anyways. Great work ^_^
