Yes, it looks a little washed out, just like most detailed brown objects in Pure, but this is quite certainly as good as it could possibly look with only three browns. Basically I'm saying this looks as good as (or better than) anything else in Pure.
Why not take the original and recolor it into DoR? You wouldn't be forced to sacrifice nearly as much color. Heck, I'd even do it for you if you like...

This is the Rock Hut from the Pokemon Mystery Dungeon series. It lost a bit of colour in the ripping process, but I think it still suits the tileset.
