Information
This is a remake of my quest: "Vargen's first quest". The major changes are graphics and music, using the pure tileset and several midis from www.vgmusic.com
Beside that there are only small changes, like bugfixes and enemy placement.
This quest was supposed to be released with 1.92, but I opened it with version 2.10 and accidentally saved it.

Didnt enjoy it. The fighting was annoying. The balance between enemy hit points and the amount of damage they inflict is off. This coupled with the large amount of them on any given screen and their higher rate of speed was too frustrating for me. Some of the dungeons felt uninspired and phoned in. A miss.

Up to level 5 it was one of the best i played but the difficulty in level 5 simply ruined the whole game. If you at least gave link full hearts it would have been playable but with 3 hearts, no fire boomerang and with a bunch of like likes, blue and red Wizzrobes in most rooms plus bosses in some rooms its just plain ridiculous. Were you perhaps following the rule of "you must at least die 100 times a level to be a good game"?

I forgot to rate this, one of the first quest I finished, A straightforward and not so confusing 8+1 dungeon-quest with an average of difficulty to combat through, good but not best, could be more secrets to find and the way through the dungeons (except 7 and 9) was a little to predictable.

This quest is good as an old-school style quest with a classic eight triforce dungeons leading up to the confrontation with Ganon and beyond, with a few extra secrets added. For instance, the fact that the player has to return to the first level after obtaining certain items adds a twist; however, this only occurs once. Beyond that, the dungeons, particularly the early portion, were too straightforward and linear.
In short, if you like an old-school quest with classic style of puzzles and dungeons, then go for this quest. However, if you want something deeper, then avoid this quest. 2 1/2 stars (giving 2 here because I honestly think the fives already given are inflated).
