Hello!

 

My cousin is looking for a quest he played quite a few years ago. According to his description, the dungeon was some kind of forest or forest-like ruins, although he’s not completely sure (he’s also not certain whether it was the first dungeon or not). What he is sure about is that the boss was a fairy similar to (or the same as) the one from the Oracles games, like the one in the image.

Is the game using gameboy graphics? 

The quest might be Isle of Rebirth. A fairy big and popular quest back in the day. It has a boss that uses that gameboy fairy sprite. Although it was a more late game boss rather than early. The quest also has an early game forest ruins level.

If that isn't it, maybe it was Dreams Realm, which has a first level forest dungeon.
