but holy crap the vibes of twilight knight's, that's a sick setting
Thank you so much!!
Zeron
That is a lovely interior screen. I really like that raised bed, haven't seen that idea before!
Jared
That looks really great. Looks very inviting and I like all the tiles you added to DoR, like the water or tall grass.

Thank you so much! It's taking awhile to add everything, but it's worth it! I also made the arch top from scratch (And thanks to Shane for the help).
Your screens and use of DoR inspire me so much, as you always have. If I could have voted, I'd choose yours, Twilight Knight.
Zeron, I like yours with the same idea as Twilight Knight. I love the raised bed, it just needs some stairs!!
Great week this week. And I'm always glad to lose to Twilight Knight. ![]()

Thank you! I'll admit, I'm kind of surprised that the cursed dungeon carving combos got such a positive response. I guess that justifies making the rest.
I agree about the stairs. I raised the bed to showcase the new dungeon carving combos, but I don't (yet) have any tiles to make a proper entrance. Thus, the rather lame choice of a spring.
By the way, the concept was to include as many design errors or annoying details as I could while still making a believable house.
List of errors that I can remember, for trivia:
Now for the other screens.
Twilight Knight: Wow. That's eye catching. Stunning screen for what seems to be only a chest preview. Only thing is, maybe the players won't be looking at the chest?
Jared: I saw a bit of what you've been working on via the Discord. I decided to wait with great interest, and this screen cements that. Excellent in both screen design and new tiles.
Well. Glad that I get to null.
I'm always glad to lose to Twilight Knight.
Relatable, and agreed.

Hey everyone,
I love this week's turnout. You all are fantastic and incredibly gifted artists. Onto my thoughts:
Zenon - I read your response and I would honestly have not noticed any of those things you pointed out, but I love that
creativity and cleverness you bring to the design. A bit of an Easter egg / tribute to older design elements. It does
accomplish what it sets out to do and has that "cursed" feeling with everything feeling out of place while still
passing itself off as a comfortable home. Pretty cool shot though.
Twilight Knight - This shot to me is stunning. I mean not only the cool mechanical design choice with the giant
gears, but the fact that they look appropriate here and not forced into ZC (as you see quite often - while there
is a certain charm to those, they can stand out at times). The palettes for them are stunning, in particular
the giant silver gear the protagonist is standing on. The use of other gears and their colors and the
apparent descending order of them as they get smaller, all adds to the atmosphere. It's funny but Zenon
mentioned "maybe the player's won't be looking at the chest?" and immediately I thought, "Wait,
there's a chest?" That's how eye-captivating this is. During gameplay I assume the player will take notice
of the chest, but maybe you could make it stand out a little more? Or perhaps incorporate the chest
into the gear theme element? In any case, small nitpicks aside, I voted here.
Jared - This is a gorgeous shot. The colors are warm and really easy on the eyes. I could look at
screens like this all day. The amount of detail is exquisite. From the varying grass textures to
the imprints in the dirt. I love the chest buried under the tall grass. It shows how time has even
forgotten about this lost treasure. I've never seen this concept before and I absolutely love it.
A very very close vote for me this week, but Twilight Knight just edges out Jared's shot.
Congratulations to all three participants for your lovely entries. Thank you so much
for an enjoyable week!
