This is by far the largest of the entries submitted to this contest, but it also by far the one lacking the most polish.

I like the base of what is here, but almost every single aspect of the quest could see improvements. Lots of bugs and issues of that nature, obviously. But even just getting down to the design there is a lot of areas where things could have been better. A lot of enemies are just kinda annoying and unfun (Goriyas chain stunning you is one good example). For large portions of the quest I didn't feel like I had any counter-plays. The overworld is very empty. I'm not sure what the intent of it is, but even if the quest aims for a more classic aesthetic then groups of bushes and such to populate areas would do a lot. But considering the detail level in dungeons I don't think it would be out of place to go further. Likewise there are simply a lot of winding paths on the overworld (and in certain caves) that are simply not very interesting. Both paths that are longer than a screen, but also ones relegated to a single screen. There's a lot of just walking around things without anything interesting happening.

I don't think it's bad, to clarify. Despite how rough it is around the edges there is an impressive amount of work put into this for a contest entry. So it's with that that I hope this gets further developed into a full fledged quest that really makes this shine.
