Hello,

I would like to use the candle to burn a 2x2 combo tree and reveal 2x2 stairway in 2.55.

I have been trying to figure it out to no avail. As you know, a regular burn flag is only one combo big and I can't find a way (or remember) to make a burn trigger the 16-31 flags.

How can I do this?

Thanks in advanced.

The easiest way would be to just use a layer. Put the burn flags on layer 0 and then the secrets that actually display the new graphics on layer 1. Any kind of secret trigger will activate 16-31 on layers by default.

You could also use combo triggers with a fire weapon trigger condition, combo change effect, and a copycat ID but that's a bit more technical.

You can also set up the tree like thisScreenshot-2025-08-10-at-8-39-06-AM.pngthen go into secret combos and set the 16, 17, 18, set any fire in the burn section. (since the burn trigger is on one it may be finicky, but it saves a layer, too may of those isnt great towards the end Screenshot-2025-08-10-at-8-44-21-AM.png)

I'd say do the opposite. Put the burnable layer/tree on layer 1, put burn flags on layer 1, then burn it and underneath is the result. This is the way I've done it, anyway lol.

Oh, you people just put things on layers. Fascinating. I always go through the tedious process of putting flags all over the place.

But what about having multiple burnable 2x2 trees in the same screen, each burning independently from another? That is the question.

It seems I'm a bit late.

That can probably be done with the triggers tab. Make 4 new combos for each tree, all triggering from fire and using same copycat ID in States/Spawning, thus creating 4n combos. Because that scaling surely wouldn't cause a problem when you use layers to cram 30+ trees into a single screen, right?
