Possibly - did you get the Power Bracelet?

No, I got the hint from the blacksmith and went into the fortress, but the entrance was blocked, so I just decided to go elsewhere and ignore it for the time being (and completed all three dungeons without it in result).

It seems that I just did't get the puzzle. Will try it again later today.

Edit: Got Power Bracelet. I had a wrong initial impression that one already needs to posess it in order to get inside the fortress. Missed a lot of content actually!

Had the pleasure of watching Semi Cooperative's stream of Crucible Crest 2.1 on Friday and it was nice to see the devs stop by. While I haven't gotten around to making any games with Zelda Classic, I've worked on some RPG Maker projects using Zelda GBC-inspired tilesets and Crucible Crest might be the most gorgeous use of that style of tile I've ever seen.

Comparing it to the three Zelda GBC games and a lot of ZC games using a similar tileset/aesthetic, it's impressive to see just how rich each Crucible Crest map ends up being. The variety in the ground tiles and additional elements such as height, shadows, and foliage add so much to the style.

I'm downloading ZC as we speak and giving it a try myself at this point.

Thank you for the kind words! I feel like I overdid it at times on the overworld, but I am happy that it's overall agreeable. Let us know how you like it when playing yourself!  :) Remember to speak to NPCs again after you achieved an objective, they'll have new stuff to say. Deathrider breezed a bit through that aspect, but that's good to, bc the game is meant to let you do how ever you please

Got it downloaded and working! Even managed to hook up my PS5 controller so the character controls like a charm. Coming off of the Oracle games and Link's Awakening the huge early open world is pretty new to me but it gave me a chance to just soak in the view. Loving the side character characterizations and dialog. The character portraits in the dialog boxes are superb. All in all it combines so much of the GBC charm with modern storytelling. No wonder it's getting rave reviews xD

Coming off the Oracles, it is balanced to be a bit tougher, but there are lots of ways to jump the curve a bit. Hope you enjoy!

Sorry for the (hopefully final) double post in this thread - I have updated the links to point to an updated demo, numbered 2.2. This demo has more extensive bugfixes and rebalances, particularly aimed at bringing level 2 more in-line with the overall difficulty curve. Additionally, the boss fight of level 3 has been revamped slightly - the full changelog is available in the first post. As with demo 2.1, there is no real new content, and save files are not compatible between demo versions - so don't feel like you need to restart if in the middle of a playthrough. This is just for folks to have a better experience when starting fresh.

Due to PureZC's limit on demos (which are probably sensible) - I did have to remove the original CC demo 1.0 from the downloads section. This was already obsoleted anyway, so hopefully this isn't a big loss for anyone.

I don't plan on releasing another demo version unless there is a super devastating bug discovered - so we'll be moving on from this content and onto bigger and newer things.

Nice, I will download it later this morning and play through it again.  Love the work you all do, and have loved Crucible Crest so far.  I can't wait to dive into it again.  I should have a fair amount of time today in-between projects (I work from home) to go through it all.

Hey Rodanism! Sorry, I haven't been checking the forums lately. If you screenshot the screen you're missing him, I can give a more direct hint. Otherwise see below:
